Its been a week since I visited the mystical land of Glastonbury ✨
.
Known best for the famous festival but it has so much more to offer like sacred sites, history, spiritual pilgrimages, healing energies and so much more.
.
I dont know what brought me there besides the obvious 😅 but there was that gentle whisper that has guided me to so many wonderful places and experiences in the past. Im so glad I listened to the calling and followed my heart.
.
Ive always been a seeker and wanderer, a bit like Alice in Wonderland 🐰 We come to this world to remember our true essence, purpose and experience all the abundance life has to offer.
.
This trip felt like a homecoming, confirmation, lots of aha moments and conversations with beautiful souls. I really felt like I had been there before and will definitely be back soon. Im so excited to see how this experience integrates into my life and unfolds into my work and healing journey 💗
.
Ill continue to share the insights from this experience as they flow into my awareness and maybe Ill even organise a group trip there too 🙌

The Vagus Nerve 🧠

Its the information highway that connects your brain with organs throughout the body. Its the longest cranial nerve in the body and runs from your brain to your large intestine.

Vagus is Latin for “wandering.”

The vagus nerve plays a huge role in many bodily functions, and it has a gut brain connection.

Its been proven that doing exercises to stimulate and tone the vagus nerve can help people with epilepsy, depression amd even weight loss.

What happens when you stimulate the vagus nerve?

It sends a message to our bodies that its time to relax and de-stress. This can lead to long-term improvements in mood, pain management, wellbeing and resilience.

Research also shows that the vagus nerve may hold the key to managing diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and other conditions that are affected by stress.

Here are some ways of stimulating the vagus nerve to boost mental well-being.

These include:

Diaphragmatic breathing techniques
Cold water exposure
Usimg vagus nerve devices
Meditation
Yoga
Singing
Humming
Chanting
Gargling
Massage
Tapping

People who have a strong and toned vagus nerve a strong vagus nerve may find it easier to relax after a stressful experience, and their body may be better able to manage inflammation and gut issues. It may also be better equipped to manage blood sugar levels.

Foods that are good for vagus nerve.

These foods include spinach, seeds, nuts, bananas, and poultry. The contain a compound called tryptophan which helps strengthen the vagus nerve and spinal cord.

Treat depression.
Regulate your emotions.
Reduce blood pressure.
Lower your heart rate.
Reduce inflammation.
