The first chakra of the system is the Root Chakra or in Sanskrit Muladhara which means base.
MAIN QUALITIES: Survival and groundedness.

OUT OF BALANCE : Depression, tendency to isolate from others, anger, constant fight or flight mode.
SIGNS: A blocked root chakra includes pelvic or lower back pain, as well as cold extremities and trouble concentrating.
CAUSES: A blocked root chakra is generally related to anxiety, often involving career worries and financial dependence. Often, people with a blocked root chakra are overly-concerned with either their emotional or physical well-being.
RESTORE BALANCE: Grounding and earthing by walking barefoot outside, eat root vegetables.
LOCATION: It is at the base of the spine
COLOUR: Red
SOUND: LAM
