What are your non-negotiables?

Having a daily practice or routine has been one of the most transformative things Ive done in my life.

Having non-negotiables is a powerful way to create clear boundaries and highlight whats important in your life.

This helps to stay balanced and avoid burnout and makes sure that youre living in alignment with your values. 

When I dont prioritise my non-negotiables things go pretty pear shaped. I get frustrated, overwhelmed, tired, I never feel like I have enough time and everyone around me suffers too.

You dont need to spends hours on end doing whats important to you and this will be different for everyone.

My non-negotiables are:

🫶 Daily movement.

🫶 Journalling.

🫶 Meditation.

🫶 Nourishing food.

When I adhere to these my days just flow and I feel so satisfied with life. 

Do I stick to these everyday? 90% of the time and if I dont Im seriously mismanaging my time and my self worth.

This is what I help my clients get clear on and how to stick to them. When they experience what its like to create non-negotiables theres no going back. 

They feel that their life has been transformed too by making these small incremental changes.

What does self-care look like for you ❤️

Everyone has different priorities, commitments, situations, finances etc. 

So a weekly manicure or massage for one person might be once in a while for another.

It really doesnt matter what form or act of self-care you choose its the simple practice of taking time for YOU.

When Im helping my clients or myself in figuring out what self-care is needed its important to be realistic. Because if its totally out there and a big ask your less likely to do it or make time for it on a regular basis.

Questions I like to ask are:

How much time do you have?

What day would be easiest to schedule it in?

What seems most accessable right now?

How do you feel?

What would be bring you joy?

Do you need rest, movement or silence? 

I always have a list of self-care options or things that make me feel nourished & nurtured. 

Reflexology, drinking cacao, staying in bed reading my book, walking in nature, doing yoga, attending a workshop, massage, accupunture, taking time off just to be, going on a retreat or solo trip. 

As you can see these are a variety of things that take little time and cost to bigger commitments. 

I schedule these throughout my week, month & year. Because if these are not prioritized that time will likely go to someone else.

So hopefully this will prompt you to book in your self-care ASAP
